The Dryer/Blender Operator is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Willow Island, WV (UNION USW - 0499) site.

 

Hourly rate range for this position is $38.21 - $42.46  

 

Position Details

This position is responsible for performing duties associated with the production of feed additives in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use PLC/DCS to monitor and operator process equipment.
  • Use and maintain benchtop pH meters.
  • Ensure availability of bulk raw materials. 
  • Routinely lift, load, and unload 50 lb. bags of materials.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problem, determine impact on process, and coordinate with mechanical discipline.  Prepare equipment for repair work and coordinate repairs with maintenance group including LOTO.
  • Perform record keeping duties in accordance with FDA and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze program failures.
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follows all standard operating and cGMP procedures
  • Maintains accurate and appropriate documentation
  • Adheres to all safety procedures
  • Is available for necessary overtime and emergency call-ins as needed
  • Assists with training of new operators

Key Responsibilities Continued

  • Scheduling shift coverage including vacation and other absences
  • Housekeeping of assigned areas
  • Monitor and maintain supply of pallets and bulk bags.  Package, label, and load final product into bulk bags; collects final sample; load product into truck.       
  • Perform shift housekeeping in work area.
  • Prepare media samples for use by QA/QC.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problem, determine impact on process, and coordinate with mechanical discipline.  Prepare equipment for repair work and coordinate repairs with maintenance group.
  • Perform record keeping duties in accordance with FDA and company policies.
  • Sample product from blending equipment and analyze sample for particle size.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical integrity and product release.
  • Take samples from process equipment and analyze for pH.
  • Operate water treatment system.
  • Take samples from waste streams.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Production experience
