The Accounting Intern is an integral part of our Finance team based out of our Willow Island, WV site.
Position Details
This is a Summer 2026 Internship Opportunity! Interns at Phibro will get a great hands-on experience in a real work environment. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
o Assist with all aspects of Budgeting, Month End Close, monthly payments etc for MFAs
o Assist site controllers with potential automation of month end spreadsheets and powerpoints
o Assist site controllers with monthly tracking and spend reports
o Work with WI, SB, and EG site leaders on understanding monthly spend and RCI into spend variances
o Assist with quarterly finance report out development for the sites
o Assist site controllers with year end physical inventories
o Network with site leaders and Accounting Depts
o Intern will be evaluated by accounting dept and site leaders in MFA.
Skills that will be developed
This position would work to guide the person in conceptualization of monthly budgets, monthly spend reports and presentations, as well as overall accounting principles to budget and track site spend. Intern will be a self start who can learn excel pivot tables and power query to speed the process of the site controllers.
Education and Skills Required
- Pursuing Engineering Degree (Accounting)
- GPA of 2.75 or higher preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Independent worker/self-starter
- Accounting or OPEX Experience
- Assist in development of month end close
- Opportunities in Automation Accounting processes
