The Technical Manager, Poultry, Southern Europe is an integral part of our Business Development team based out of our Belgium - Wavre, France, Italy, Spain site.

 

Position Details

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Provide high standard technical support in a timely and effective way to our customers in the assigned territory (e.g. diagnostic support, troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, etc.) 

Align the technical support to customer needs that will be linked to achieve budgeted sales for Phibro products in the assigned territory. 

Provide technical support for customers, key influencers and end users ensuring proper use of products. 

Carry out technical activities for certain Value-Added Services, use technical services to leverage the image of company and communicate to customers in efficient way to explain the value of these Value-Added Services. 

Actively participate and present in scientific or technical events and congresses in the region. Produce technical materials for scientific and marketing publications. 

Deliver technical training and coaching to the KAMs, ensuring adequate understanding and knowledge transfer on products and diseases, and ensuring consistency of messages across Phibro local teams. Support the KAMs to train local distributors to drive the sale of products.  

Monitor industry technical trends and competitive activity in the assigned area to provide guidance to appropriate Species Business Manager. 

Support customer events and technical campaigns (e.g. vets or poultry industry meetings, implementation of technical services including clear communication programs to customers, commercial studies, etc.). 

Build and maintain long term relevant Key Opinion Leaders, Universities, Institutes, CROs, etc. 

Design and execute commercial demos and controlled trials according to the business needs. 

Strengthen relationships by being actively part of customer strategic account plans. 

Align with the KAM and the EU marketing manager the resources required to support technically the customers within the associated territory. 

Engage frequently with Global Director Technical Services to continuously exchange knowledge and share ideas. 

Comply with Phibro’s policies and lead with high level of integrity. 

 

EDUCATION 

 

Degree in Veterinary medicine is required. 

Nutritional or other relevant animal science degree will be well considered. 

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS  

 

Significant practical previous experience in poultry medicine is required.  

Previous experience in a technical role in AH industry is desirable. 

Knowledge of field-based clinical trials desirable.   

Good knowledge of local market conditions particularly of the target species group. 

Languages: Good command of English language is required. Proficiency in other languages of the designated Region will be an asset.    

Other specific know-how: good Microsoft Office user: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
