The Director APAC Poultry Technical Services, Intestinal Health is an integral part of our Marketing team based out of our Thailand - Bangkok site.

 

Position Details

The Director of Poultry Technical Services will be responsible for providing technical support for the APAC region of Phibro Animal Health's Intestinal Health portfolio including in-feed anticoccidial and antimicrobials, nutritional specialties, and water-soluble products. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Poultry Technical Services - Intestinal Health and Nutrition. The position will create and build value to the poultry intestinal health portfolio and its customers. Success will be measure as follows: (1) increased market penetration, (2) regional market share progression, (3) customer retention, and from (4) the implementation of training programs for both Phibro and distributor partners sales teams that will support key countries in the APAC region.

 

This will be a remote position (preferably located in a key market where Phibro has presence). The Ideal location is Bangkok, Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Phibro’s poultry intestinal health products in the targeted region, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Coordinate with the Global Marketing team to effectively manage resources and provide adequate technical support to the business.
  • Help to build a technical support platform for internal and external customers and reinforce product positioning and differentiation.
  • Work with the Global Marketing team and APAC regional Marketing team to help create and support branding, communication, key strategies, as well as its value proposition in the marketplace relative to customer needs and competition.
  • Help to identify opportunities in key markets (by working with both direct-market leaders and their distributor partners).
  • Support the development of training programs and introduce new concepts, use technologies and develop, if viable, a platform that will support these concepts.
  • Help to identify customer needs, track and analyze market trends (diseases) and work closely with the poultry vaccine team when necessary.
  • Help develop and write protocols as needed for marketing trials or commercial demonstrations, participate in Lifecycle Management meetings and support and provide guidance to markets in this area.
  • Support Key Account Management programs when required.
  • Partner with regional technical teams and Key Opinion Leaders and University Professors, among others, to translate market requirements into technical product performance studies.
  • Interface with Sales and Technical support teams in the regions to generate enthusiasm and support for Phibro’s Poultry Intestinal Health portfolio.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Travel: International required and estimated 40%.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, in any biology or animal science program.
  • DVM required (veterinarian), MBA or equivalent or PhD is preferred.
  • Local board is desirable but optional (or on track to obtain it).
  • 5-10 years of experience in the poultry field - experience and practical knowledge of poultry anticoccidials and/or medicinal or non-traditional feed additives is desirable.
  • Poultry production experience. Experience in swine is desirable but not required.
  • Previous experience with global Animal Health companies preferred.
  • Worked with multidisciplinary teams – experience supporting intestinal health products/programs including: anticoccidials, nutritionals and vaccines is desirable.
  • Multilingual skills: Fluent in English (reading and speaking) is mandatory.
