Compensation range for this position is $130,000.00 -$160,000.00
Position Details
The Senior Product Manager role is an integral part of the new formed Strategic Marketing organization. Works developing, supporting, and driving marketing initiatives for key brands. This individual will work closely with Senior Director of Strategic Marketing by franchise/specie and other cross-functional team members to support brand strategies and tactics that will enable the organization to help improve its market position while helping with marketing execution. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Planning
- Support franchise strategy: Map execution brand plans based on strategy franchise goals (e.g., only key brands)
- Assist in portfolio planning: Help assess current brand performance via KPI’s and identify opportunities for growth and innovation based on market/customer interactions, market research etc.
- Contribute to business planning: Take part and support in the development/revision of annual budgeting, sales and OpEx forecasting needs and long-term strategic processes, etc.
- Market Understanding & Customer Insight
- Analyze market trends: Stay up to date on health and customer trends (disease outbreaks, vaccination protocols, regulatory shifts, etc.)
- Competitive environment: Monitor competitive products, pricing strategies and marketing approaches by top 5 companies playing in specific categories MFA, NSP or Vaccines
- Customer feedback loop: Work with field reps and veterinarians to gather feedback from producers, nutritionists, veterinarians and key decision makers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Commercial: Support the sales teams for key markets through campaign design, development and release with training, promotional materials and messaging guidance. Includes creation and follow-up of KPI’s for top brands in category/franchise.
- Technical, R&D and Regulatory: Ensure compliance and align product messages with technical data and claims. Identify and collect ideas for LCM from markets and/or customers.
- Manufacturing – Supply chain: Help forecast demand and manage supply issues for seasonal or region-specific needs. Includes following up on KPI’s for top brands in category/franchise.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Support Product Launches: Help execute Go-to-Market strategies for new products.
- Manage in-market products: support tracking sales performance and track KPI’s for top brands in category/franchise.
- Phase-out support: Assist in managing discontinuations or execution of harvesting of products with low revenue and margin.
- Commercial Execution
- Marketing Campaign Creation & Execution: Co-develop campaigns with franchise team and external agencies including promotional tools, trade show materials and digital content tailored to specific brands/launches. Includes Veeva approvals, lifetime and discontinuations of materials.
- Work with Tradeshow/Event Manager on planning, coordination, execution and post-event reporting for franchise related events.
- Sales Training: Support the creation of materials and take part in a session to equip sales reps with the use of materials, messages and competitive talking points based.
- Metrics tracking: Monitor overall strategy KPI’s as defined by franchise/category. Prepare summary for business reviews in close collaboration with the Market Intelligence & Analytics Manager.
- Co-develop and implement targeted programs that consistently generate new, high quality customer leads, using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software as a tool/resource/repository for data and communication.
Key Competencies Required
- 2-5 years minimum of marketing experience in one of the following areas: brand development, digital marketing, product management and marketing communications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field; relevant agriculture degree or experience a plus
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking to interpret market and sales data.
- Basic financial literacy to understand the impact of margin and pricing models.
- Project management coordination to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Problem solving, negotiation skills and resourcefulness.

Additional Details
- Full time role limited travel required 10-15% per year.
