The Project Manager, Animal Health R&D Portfolio Management is an integral part of our Regulatory Affairs team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ - Remote site.

 

Position Details

The Project Manager, Animal Health R&D Portfolio Management, will be responsible for managing a portfolio of animal health R&D projects. This role focuses on overseeing project execution and supporting the overall portfolio strategy. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of animal health R&D processes and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management:
    • Manage the full lifecycle of R&D projects within the animal health portfolio, from concept to regulatory approval/project completion.
    • Support teams when presenting updates to the R&D Steering Committee or R&D Portfolio Management.

 

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones for animal health R&D initiatives.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, quality assurance, etc.) to ensure successful project delivery.  This includes supporting teams through the R&D Governance process.
    • Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays in a timely manner.

 

  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the main point of contact between project teams and key stakeholders, including senior leadership, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
    • Facilitate regular portfolio reviews with leadership, providing updates on project status, regulatory milestones, and potential risks.

 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management).
    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects within a dynamic environment.
    • Proven experience managing R&D projects, is highly desirable.
    • Experience with regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA CVM, EMA, USDA) for veterinary products is preferred.
    • Knowledge of animal health R&D processes, including discovery, development, and clinical trials.
    • Proficient in or have strong learning agility for project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
