Phibro's PhibroChem & Ferro divisions are leading suppliers of specialty chemicals to the US and European markets.

 

Compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 -$130,000.00

Position Details

The position will be primarily responsible for managing PhibroChem’s Quality Management System, taking the lead role in supporting all technical, regulatory, quality, and safety needs. This is a hands-on role and incorporates both technical and commercial activities.

Travel for this position is required up to 20%. International travel will be required once a year. 

Key Responsibilities

Supplier and Business Support

  • Support our suppliers on all FDA/3ʳᵈ party related issues. This includes attending key FDA/3ʳᵈ party audits at our international supplier locations, and ACD audits of our U.S. warehouses.
  • Maintain supplier compliance on regulatory matters. While much of the information will come from the manufacturer, this position liaises with suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies and takes a lead role to ensure compliance.
  • Support customers and PhibroChem employees on technical matters including application support, product performance, product characteristics etc.
  • Interact with FDA and consultants in support of various needs of API and other business. 
  • Communicate with the regulators and other auditing agencies.
  • Complete regulatory documentation including OMUFA (Over-the-Counter Monograph User Fee Act),  customer questionnaires, conflict mineral documentation etc.
  • Facilitate/negotiate successful establishment of appropriate quality agreements with customers. 
  • Company boiler plate or direct with larger consumers user.
  • Assist our suppliers in complying with GMP requirements.

 

Quality System Management (QMS)

  • Lead activities to comply with ACD requirements as needed to maintain membership in good standing.
  • Support balanced and practical needs of procedures to meet ACD standard.
  • Manage and/or conduct annual internal audit at PhibroChem and our warehouses.
  • Plan and attend warehouse audits as required. This could include select audits at international supplier locations.
  • Plan and manage QMS Annual Management Review Meeting.
  • Maintain access to QMS for all PhibroChem associates.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, ideally in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FDA-regulated field
