The Manager, Tax & Financial Services is an integral part of our Finance team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ site.

 

Position Details

This role has primary responsibility for calculating and preparing sales/use tax returns for parent company specifically: prepare/file all sales/use tax returns in a dozen+ states; review invoices for complete and correct use taxes; and periodically (at least annually) confirm states where filings are required.

Key Responsibilities

 

    Prepare/file other business tax filings such as US Federal excise taxes, Ohio CAT and NJ Spill Tax
  • Maintain information with status of sales/use tax, franchise tax, business tax filings, etc.
  • Process tax filings prepared by external firm, including both paper and e-filings, and making tax payments
  • Assist with quarterly close, including certain SOX documentation 
  • Assist external firm with tax provision and return preparation including among other information requests
  • Assist with transfer pricing efforts, including regular establishment of prices in connection with budgets and forecasts as well as ad hoc requests
  • Prepare and issue intercompany service invoices due from Israel and Turkey, including collating applicable monthly hours and periodically reviewing/adjusting the hourly rates
  • Prepare on a quarterly basis, I/C Debt summary
  • Assist with reviewing and analyzing accounting information needed for tax and related purposes
  • Prepare and remit all required government surveys
  • Prepare the annual FINCEN (FBAR) support for external firm and complete the filing
  • Prepare required J/E’s as needed for Tax/Treasury/Accounting including foreign-related matters
  • Point of contact with CT Corporation, coordinating with Law Department.

Skills

Must be proficient using Email, phones, cell phones, and office equipment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting;Master’s degree in taxation a plus.
  • CPA or JD/active law license strongly preferred.
  • Five plus years relevant experience.
  • Experience in OneSource Tax Provision preferred.
  • Experience with JD Edward and/or Oracle a plus
  • Understanding of tax outside the US a plus (Brazil and/or Israel preferred)
  • Experience in the Animal Health industry a plus
  • Experience working for a global organization
  • Federal tax consulting and compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
  • Experience in Corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance.
