Phibro’s Ethanol Performance (EPG) business helps to optimize customers’ plant operations through the highest quality products. 

 

The Import/ Export Operations Specialist is an integral part of our Supply Chain team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ site.

 

Position Details

The Import/Export Operations Specialist will be a key role to the global sourcing and logistics of any required product or service for our Performance Products Division, which consists of Phibro Ethanol and Phibro Chem businesses. 

 

Strategy and Development:

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices in supply chain operations using strategy, innovation, and resourcefulness to achieve continuous improvement in striving for operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product stewardship: manage product forecasting, inventory, purchases, logistics.
  • Purchase Order Entry/Fulfillment: delivery on-time in full, to pre-requisite quality in the most cost-effective manner possible.   
  • Vendor management: Suppliers, tollers, forwarders, drayage providers.
  • Import/Export Coordination: Ensure timely clearing, discharge, delivery, document preparation and workflow for all orders.
  • Track/Trace/Monitor shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Provide product support to external and internal customers and suppliers.
  • Analyzing and optimizing supply chain procedures.
  • Regulatory compliance within business operations, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Address and resolve supplier complaints and/or quality issues.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations engineering or similar degree areas.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, import/exports, demand planning, or related roles.
  • Additional language proficiency (full professional/bilingual) in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
