Position Details
This position is responsible for transporting materials over land to and from Phibros customers. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Regional driving to and from customer sites that are local and out of state
- Drive 3-axle tractors pulling 28', 42' and 48' tanks, flatbed and vans
- Have knowledge of and comply with current DOT and hazmat regulations
- Load and unload bulk tankers with various chemicals at customer sites using air or vacuum pumps
- Wash tanker trailers inside and out
- Inspect trucks/trailers and report any defects found in accordance with policy
- Disconnect/reconnect trucks and trailers
- Take samples of fresh chemicals going out and waste chemicals returned to plant
- Wear uniforms, safety shoes, and be presentable at all times
- Have safety equipment available at all times and wear it when appropriate
- Check in with Transportation Manager daily
- Ensure all completed paperwork and logbooks are accurate and legible
- Must be available to work all hours and days of the week
- Must report all spills and incidents to Transportation Manager immediately

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years tanker/hazmat driving experience
- Driver license, CDL Class A with tank and hazmat endorsements
- TSA hazmat clearance
- TWIC card can be obtained within 30 days of hire
- 10-year DMV printout
- Able to pass DOT requirements to be a qualified driver, including a DOT drug test and physical
- No preventable accidents last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in last 3 years
- No DUI or reckless driving convictions
- No chargeable accidents within past 3 years

K ey Competencies & Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years tanker/hazmat driving experience
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
• Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• To become T1-T2 Water Treatment certified within a year of employment
• Ability to recognize problems and help identify solutions
• California driver's license, CDL Class A with tank and hazmat endorsements

• Ability to obtain a TWIC card if needed
