WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday with ability to flex as needed

Position Details
The position will be responsible for the safe and overall efficient operation of the production line equipment, tow motors, and facilities. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and safety procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on interior and exterior
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment (tow motors, pumps, compressors, rotating machinery, boilers, cooling towers, etc)
- Perform special maintenance projects including welding, electrical, mechanical assembly and carpentry
- Assist in training employees on SOP’s, tasks, etc.
- Assist on capital, environmental and process improvement projects as needed

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- HazMat experience a plus

POSITION DETAILS:
The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of our Maintenance team based out of our Phibro Tech facility in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. The Maintenance Technician specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on pumps, compressors, rotating machinery, boilers, and cooling towers.
- Calibrate, maintain and program process sensors and controllers.
- Perform maintenance projects including welding, mechanical assembly and repair, and some carpentry
- Maintain and repair:
- AOD pumps
- Centrifugal pumps
- Gear boxes and agitators
- Perform pipe repair and new installations (PVC, CPVC, Carbon and Stainless Steel)
- Assist Maintenance Engineering Manager on capital, environmental and process improvement projects
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components in the plant
- Install new electrical cabinets, conduits and other electrical components
- Maintain and program PLC’s, display panels and SCADA systems is a plus.
Key Competencies Required:
Technical:
- Able to operate industrial equipment including forklifts, man-lifts, and other types of motorized equipment
- Read and understand engineering/electrical drawings and schematics
- Capable of troubleshooting electrical issues
- Technical knowledge of industrial processes and industrial parts and supplies
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
- Strong experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

- Organized and ability to plan for tasks
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Programs

Physical
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to use a respirator
- Able to climb stairs and ladders
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing or production facility (Chemical processing, oil refinery, oil/lubricant distribution facility are preferred)
Previous HazMat experience preferred
