The Systems Integration Engineer is an integral part of our Operational Systems team based out of our US - Quincy, IL - Office (Corp) site.
Position Details
This role is responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting the hardware, and IT software systems that are used to support our LIM’s system and its integration into both IT and OT systems our organization utilizes. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, program, commission and maintenance of our LIMs system and all its related integration points and functions.
- Prepares technical drawings and documentation to ensure that installations, processes, software and operations of the environment conform to industry standards.
- Assists and develops capital projects/programs by developing budgetary quotes for labor, materials and infrastructure costs to support and enhance our environment.
- Participates in pre-design reviews, specification of equipment/instruments and manage project working with the business and vendors to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supports contractors with job requirements and monitor their work to assure it is in accordance with established methods and procedures.
- Inspects completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design specifications along with compliance with operational standards.
- Determines the causes of any process anomalies or variations including, but not limited to, interfaces with other systems, network or other infrastructure issues, application limitations or software design issues.
- Ability to work extended hours, shift schedules and perform on-call duties when necessary.
- Travel to remote facilities is a requirement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
- Two (2) or more years' experience in SQLServer and DBA.
- Two (2) or more years' experience working with a mainstream LIMs system that is integrated into various instruments business applications and products.
- LIMS experience is a plus.
