The Regulatory Coordinator is an integral part of our Regulatory Affairs team based out of our US - Quincy, IL - Office (MNNS) site.


Position Details

He/she will play a key role in the day-to-day activities of the Regulatory Affairs department members or members of other departments within the company (including Marketing, Manufacturing, Legal) to maintain, update and/or approve various documents, including advertising, sales promotions, technical publications, labels, etc. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret local, national, and international microbial regulations. Monitor external regulatory landscape to ensure strategies comply with latest new and changing regulatory  requirements.
  • Communicate regulatory information across the company and help them interpret the commercial implications.
  • Develop and implement domestic, international, and where appropriate, product specific regulatory strategies in support of busines objectives.
  • Evaluate manufacturing and labeling changes, and promotional materials for regulatory impact, as well as to provide guidance to the company on possible environmental hazards and  health risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Facilitate favorable regulatory outcomes by good working relationships with co-workers and consultants.
  • File State renewals, EPA Maintenance and Establishment reports.
  • Implementing EPA, TSCA and FIFRA requirements in the US.
  • Maintain all product registrations to ensure compliance with all existing and new regulations.
  • Negotiate and resolve compliance issues raised by EPA and state regulatory agencies with ability to effectively argue company position.
  • Obtains relevant product registrations for existing products to support the sales and marketing of various product lines as well as customer products in order to comply with federal and  international regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the business in industry trade associate groups such as ACC Center for Biocide Chemistries(CBC); communicate relevant information impacting the business.
  • Responds to government inquires during and after product registration in order to continue to comply with current and emerging requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Toxicology, Chemistry, BioChemistry or related Natural Science discipline.Preferred Master's or Doctorate degree.
  • A broad technical background is required; preferably a graduate level degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a major scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years in regulatory affairs, familiarity with U.S. EPA FIFRA, and TSCA regulations, Canadian regulations.
  • Experience in biocidal registration required.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevanttechnical experience, including EPA (FIFRA) Antimicrobial/disinfectants, FDA/Health Canada QSR/GMPregulations.
  •  Global microbial knowledge required
