The Regulatory Affairs Specialist / Senior Specialist is an integral part of our Regulatory Affairs team based out of our US - Quincy, IL - Office (MNNS) site.

 

Position Details

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist/Senior Specialist will be a key contributor in the Nutritional Specialty Products, Industrial Cleaners and Agriculture (NCA) regulatory team in our Quincy, Illinois office. Working with the Plant Solutions and HI&I teams, this position reports directly the Regulatory Affairs Manager/Director. This position is at office full‐time or remote for the right candidate and may include some travel. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements, planning, preparing and submitting dossiers and supporting ongoing maintenance of existing registrations
  • Manage Safer Choice and OMRI Certifications
  • Manage Agricultural and Plant Products and Industrial Cleaners (microorganism based) Regulations/Registrations for USA & Canada
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies for assigned projects
  • Represent regulatory on internal cross functional teams, with external regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, and USDA (APHIS), industry trade groups such as HCPA, and state and international government agencies
  • Represent Phibro in class associations such as AAPFCO (Plants) /AAPCO (Pesticides) among others
  • Provide guidance and support to teams and management regarding new and emerging regulatory issues
  • Support development and maintenance of consistent policies and procedures for international product registration
  • Manages Regulatory Information Management Systems (RIMS) for their product responsibilities
  • Manages EPA Facility registrations
  • Ensures compliance with labeling regulations and reviews product labels for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitors and stays current on all relevant regulatory requirements, changes and international regulations
  • Work schedule flexibility to serve the needs of international team members

Education & Experience

  • Minimum BS in animal nutrition, food science, chemistry, biology or biochemistry or a related scientific discipline. MS preferred
  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs for Microbial based Household, Industrial and Institutional Products, Plant or Agricultural Products, Safer Choice & EPA Compliance, or Biopesticides & Pesticides, OMRI certifications. Knowledge and experience in monitoring the Regulatory Environment on labeling and packaging.
  • Experienced in researching, interpreting, communicating and applying regulations
