The Plant Services Assistant is an integral part of our Maintenance team based out of our US - Omaha, NE - Vaccines site.

 

Hourly rate range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00  

 

 

Position Details

The Plant Services/Facilities Maintenance Associate is an integral part of our Facilities team based out of our Phibro Vaccines Omaha office in Omaha, NE The Plant Services/Facilities Maintenance Associate will be responsible for day-to-day operations, and back up to maintenance of facilities.  Requirements include lifting up to 70 pounds, computer skills, and basic math skills. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Use cleaning solutions as needed in the performance of job related tasks...
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
  • Notify Facility Manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Notify designated contact for the replenishment of supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
  • Collect and empty trash from all administration area offices, coffee area, media room, conference rooms and lunchroom

Education & Experience

Education/Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Understanding and experience with laboratory / Medical research cleaning highly desired.

Skills:  Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.  The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Physical Demands:  Ability to routinely use muscle and limbs to force, push, pull or carry objects.   Ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, and climb ladders

Work Environment:  Office and lab environment that requires the wearing of protective equipment such as protective eyewear, smocks, shoe covers and sanitary head coverings.
