Position Details

The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of our Production team based out of our Omaha, NE office. Maintenance Technician specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Key Responsibilities

• For the safe and overall efficient operation of the production line equipment, tow motors, and facilities.

• Follow safe work practices and safety procedures outlined by Phibro Animal Health Corporation
• Follow quality procedures and work instructions
• Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production line equipment, tow motors and prescribed by PM schedule.
• Capable of performing special maintenance projects including welding, electrical, mechanical and carpentry skills
• Assist in training employees on appropriate SOP’s and tasks.
• Perform housekeeping and general cleaning duties as assigned to enhance plant and employee safety

Other Duties

• Special projects and duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

Key Competencies & Requirements:

Experience

At least 2 years

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

Technical Business

• Has in-depth knowledge of maintenance processes including electrical, mechanical, and welding

• Understands engineering drawings and schematics
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office programs
• Capable of troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in plant and office
• Takes personal responsibility for the safety and quality of self and PAP employees
• Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other types of moving equipment.
