The Accounting Manager is an integral part of our Finance team based out of our US - Omaha, NE - Vaccines site.

 

Position Details

The Accounting Manager is an integral part of our Accounting team responsible for our Phibro Vaccines Omaha (PVO) office in Omaha, NE.  The Accounting Manager will compose and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information. Have oversight over Manufacturing Accounting process and inventory reconciliation.  Calculate product costs for use in gross margin analysis and reporting.    A B.S./B.A. in Accounting or Finance is required. Experience in Manufacturing Accounting a plus.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, schedules, and reports.
  • Maintain schedules and reconciliations to provide to corporate accounting.
  • Provide documentation and data necessary for various tax filings.
  • Support on compliance to SOX controls – assist in testing, documentation, and audits.
  • Special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Phibro site’s financial team members.
  • Assist in establishing annual Fiscal Budget.
  • Oversee inventory reconciliation process.  Initiate end-of-lot balance reconciliation and correction.  Process inventory adjustments for residual amounts.
  • Establish and maintain Cost of Goods Sold and product costing standards. 
  • Setup and maintain changes in labor costs and X-costs. 
  • Set new Fiscal Year cost standards.
  • Analyze and report on manufacturing absorption and cost variances.
  • Process work orders through Manufacturing Accounting process.  Identify and correct any inaccurate lot costs associated with process errors.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets associated with Manufacturing accounting processes.
  • Analyze price list discounts and deviations.

Must be proficient using Email, phones, cell phones, and office equipment.

Education & Experience

  • Education and/or Experience: B.S./B.A. in Accounting or Finance.  Experience in Manufacturing Accounting a plus.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to analyze and understand financial statements and financial spreadsheets.
  • Decision Making Responsibilities: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solutions to solve potential problems and address situations that may arise. Communication and conflict management skills with co-workers are a plus. 
  • Skills: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and correspond in the English language and provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, and in person.  Must be a team player able to interact with a wide variety of coworkers, both internal and external, on a daily basis.  Prioritizing needs and working to find solutions to a wide variety of problems. Skilled in mathematics, formulations, and financial business operations. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.  Working knowledge of JD Edwards or Oracle software a plus.
  • Work Environment: Office environment with occasional basic lab and/or warehouse environment that requires the wearing of protective equipment, where warranted.
