The Account Manager is an integral part of our Sales team based out of our US - Quincy, IL - Remote site.


Position Purpose

The account manager – commercial dairy will create demand and add value through consultative and technical selling with key influencers and decision-makers with dairies milking 20,000+ head in the southwest region.  Parties would include dairy owners and managers, independent and/or feed company salespeople and/or nutritionists, veterinarians, or other influencers from current customers or distributors.  In addition, the account manager – commercial dairy will lead strategic and/or operational initiatives critical to the future success of the U.S. dairy business and demonstrate the ability to work across functional and organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales, gross margin, and expense budgets in assigned geography, while coordinating planning and activities with peers and dairy leadership.
  • Lead the sales efforts for Phibro diary NSP and vaccine portfolio within assigned territory by:
    • Identifying dairies or ownership groups that milk 20,000+ head
    • Identifying major decision makers within these accounts by building relationships with all parties involved
    • Understand unique customer needs and develop actionable account plans that are focused on helping the customer achieve their goals while expanding the Phibro business with these accounts
    • Identifying necessary resources across functional and/or geographical boundaries to drive value for customer and Phibro
  • Effectively manage risk, uncertainty, and conflicting priorities to develop objectives and grow dairy NSP and vaccine sales within assigned territory and specific customers per regional budget.
  • Models continuous learning with the science behind each Phibro dairy NSP and vaccines and can effectively communicate the benefits to the customer and each influencer.
  • Provide product support for customers, key influencers, and end users ensuring proper use of Phibro dairy NSP and vaccine portfolio.
  • Influences and shapes the development of the business plan and sales strategy for the region he/she supports, as well as the overall US dairy business.
  • Leads by example with introduction of new Phibro dairy products and strategies, while managing all available resources for business growth and retention.
  • Effectively operates across organizational and functional boundaries to influence internal activity and/or change necessary to create tangible results for US dairy business growth.
  • Functions as a business power-user to maximize quality and consistency of information in Phibro’s CRM system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
