The Technical Director, Poultry & Swine, MACIE Region is an integral part of our Business Development team based out of our Belgium - Wavre site.

 

Position Details

Responsibilities
•    Develop & implement the technical strategy for newly acquired portfolio & new product launches.
•    Provide high standard technical support in a timely and effective way to our customers in the assigned territory (e.g. diagnostic support, troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, etc.)
•    Align the support to customer needs that will be linked to achieve budgeted sales for products in the assigned territory.
•    Provide support for customers, key influencers & end users ensuring proper use of products.
•    Carry out activities for certain Value-Added Services, use services to leverage the image of company and communicate to customers in efficient way to explain the value of these Services.
•    Actively participate & present in scientific or technical events & congresses in the region. Produce technical materials for scientific & marketing publications.
•    Deliver technical training & coaching to the KAMs, ensuring adequate understanding & knowledge transfer on products & diseases, & ensuring consistency of messages across Phibro local teams. Support the KAMs to train local distributors to drive the sale of products. 
•    Monitor industry technical trends & competitive activity in the assigned area to provide guidance to appropriate Species Business Manager.
•    Support customer events & technical campaigns.
•    Build & maintain long term relevant Key Opinion Leaders, Universities, Institutes, CROs, etc.
•    Design & execute commercial demos & controlled trials according to the business needs.
•    Strengthen relationships by being actively part of customer strategic account plans.
•    Align with the KAM & the EU marketing manager the resources required to support technically the customers within the associated territory.
•    Engage frequently with Global Director Technical Services to continuously exchange knowledge & share ideas.

Education
•    Doctoral degree (DVM, Ph.D., or equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Poultry Science, or a closely related field; Board certification in Poultry Medicine is highly desirable.

Experience

•    Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the animal health or poultry industry, with a proven record of technical leadership.
•    Extensive knowledge of poultry diseases (infectious and non-infectious), vaccination strategies, antimicrobial stewardship, & integrated management practices.
•    Demonstrated expertise in research design, clinical trials, data analysis, & scientific communication.
•    Strong understanding of regulatory affairs related to animal health products (drugs, vaccines, diagnostics, feed additives, etc.)
•    Excellent leadership, interpersonal, & communication skills, with an ability to inspire & influence diverse teams.
•    Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is an asset.
•    Willingness to travel domestically, regionally & internationally as required.
