The Maintenance Engineer is an integral part of our Engineering team based out of our Ireland - Sligo site.
Position Details
Responsibilities:
• Maintain machinery, plant, equipment, utilities, facilities & services to required operating standards, ensuring that the validated state of GMP equipment is maintained.
• Perform installation, emergency, corrective & preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Perform routine PMs and related paperwork according to timelines & ensure that eMaint (CMMS) is updated.
• Coordination and management of maintenance contractors/equipment vendors on site, issuing and control of permits to work. Review their reports and records.
• In partnership with Operations, Quality & TSA trouble shoot issues, providing engineering expertise to find solutions promptly.
• Perform duties in a compliant manner & in accordance with all site SOP’s, Phibro EHS standards & guidelines & relevant legal requirements.
• Work closely with project team to assist in the specification, installation, commissioning & testing of new or recommissioned equipment/plant/utilities.
• Attend FATs to ensure adherence to user requirements specifications & associated requirements.
• Own or provide engineering input to deviations, CAPAs & change controls.
• Dealing with problems or issues escalated from Operations which may affect production.
• Management of supplies & spare parts.
• Participate in projects to improve system.
• Assist in developing & implementing line/process improvements to achieve required OEE.
• Initially the role is a day shift but there will be a future requirement for shift work
• Provide ‘On Call’ support for emergencies.
• Escalate issues with equipment or its management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) – eMaint an advantage.

• Willingness to take on ad hoc duties & support team.
• Adaptable and flexible, willing to travel when needed.
Essential Education & Experience:
• Technical/Trade qualifications in a mechanical or electrical discipline
• 10 years+ of industry experience in maintenance of chemical, HVAC/mechanical systems, pneumatic & hydraulic system, electrical power systems, control systems, building management systems with at least 3+ years of maintenance within a GMP environment.
• Experience in maintaining utilities, facilities & production/process equipment.
Desired Experience:
• Experience in tablet manufacturing or other pharmaceutical areas.
• Experience with utilities (black and clean utilities)
• Equipment validation experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and ability to read & interpret technical drawings & specifications.
