POSITION DETAILS:
The Production Manager is an integral part of our Production team, based out of our Phibro-Tech location in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The purpose of the position is to supervise the plant production personnel and provide process improvement, technical and project support for the plant. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise approximately 35 plant production employees over 3 shifts to accomplish plant production objectives spending approximately 25% of the time in the plant verbally communicating, observing processes, and checking on the team.
- Flex schedule to spend quality time with key personnel on swing and grave shifts as well as periodically check in on weekend overtime.
- Responsible for implementing and compliance of all company personnel policies and procedures.
- Work with Human Resources to scheduled interviews and hire employees as needed.
- Work with Process Technician to troubleshoot production problems, maintain and improve production procedures and batch records while ensuring that training is up to date.
- Maintain a working environment where safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance are uncompromised, while meeting production schedules. Work closely with the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all safety and environmental training is completed on schedule.
- Ensure the plant is inspection ready every day by prompt completion of items found during daily plant inspection. Participate in the plant inspection process at least one time per week.
- Work closely with Maintenance Manager on scheduling equipment maintenance and replacement.
- Work with Finance Team to maintain inventory of plant consumable materials and manage expenses to stay within budget.
- Work with Project Engineer on all capital, environmental and process improvement projects.
- Effectively communicate with Customer Service Manager and Transportation Manager to ensure timely and predictable customer deliveries.

- Physical Skills

- Education and Experience
- At least 5 years industry experience.
- Practical manufacturing experience required.
- Engineering or chemistry background preferred.
Position Details
The role is responsible for production-related communication flow and coordination between all company resources committed to each company product. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in production decisions concerning new product lines. Use product specifications and release dates to determine product costs and resource needs.
- Coordinate the production aspects of the product, including production/art schedules and milestones with the brand team.
- Establish and maintain the production/art schedule for each product (with support from the production scheduler) to meet established release dates, as well as document and improve the Production product development process.
- In collaboration with brand/marketing, ensure print run schedules are established early and executed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the overall quality of all printed materials for one brand team.
