The Technical Service Representative is an integral part of our Sales team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ - Remote site.
Position Details
This position will function as a provider of technical services, supporting Phibro Ethanol product sales in a collaborative effort with the Phibro Ethanol sales and management staff to provide top-quality technical solutions to ethanol producers. This position will work within a team setting to provide customized service to the sales organization and customer base. The goal for this position is to achieve a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction within Phibro Ethanol’s sales and service organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and provide technical knowledge of assigned products and service applications to better serve the customer with value added consultation.
- Drive Phibro Ethanol initiatives in areas of Technical Development and Implementation of a program solutions strategy for the Bio-fuels industry; includes effective management of new product implementation initiatives.
- Assist in the development and execution of account strategies by building personal knowledge and reporting on one’s market and territory, Phibro Ethanol products and applications, as well as gathering relevant market intelligence in the space where Phibro provides products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively promote Phibro products and services in product support literature, case studies, and in information broadcasting.
- Maintain stewardship of Phibro Brand, Image and Identity Guidelines.
- Utilize Phibro resources and training to develop strong working knowledge of product portfolio, including:
- Know the scientific principles behind each product and their application
- Position the features and benefits to meet customer needs, increase sales and Phibro results.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure high quality technical service support of customer base.
- Design and execute customer support programs with guidance from leadership, peers, and account managers.
- Work with sales and marketing departments to gather technical information, which can promote sales and new products within the biofuels and distilled spirits industry.
Key Competencies
Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering required. Microbiology or related discipline (biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry. chemical engineering, etc.) preferred.
- Actively report and record information on customer interaction (CRM) as well as monthly performance metrics.
- Ability to travel, expectation is approximately 30-50%.
Technical:
- Significant knowledge in the area of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or related discipline
- A strong background in fermentation/bioprocesses and/or chemical production is a significant plus
- Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of industry experience
- Previous experience with SAS JMP software a significant plus
