The Key Account Manager (KAM), Egypt is an integral part of our Business Development team based out of our Egypt site.
Position Details
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead demand generation activities across Egypt in line with the country strategy, portfolio priorities & agreed annual operating plan.
• Deliver budgeted sales, gross margin & growth targets for Phibro products in Egypt, with disciplined forecasting & account planning.
• Manage & develop relationships with top 10 key poultry accounts in Egypt to drive volume growth, strengthen partnerships & ensure strategic alignment.
• Provide technical & commercial support for customers, key influencers & end users, ensuring correct & compliant product use & strong field outcomes.
• Manage & enable distributors in Egypt through joint business planning, training, field coaching & execution follow-up to drive sustainable demand creation & sales.
• Support distributor negotiations to achieve yearly target, collections & actively participate in the identification & nomination of new distributors to expand market reach.
• Monitor poultry industry trends & competitive activity; provide market insights & recommendations to the Regional Sales Manager, Saudi Arabia & Egypt.
• Prepare a comprehensive monthly report for the Regional Manager covering business updates, customer feedback, competitive insights & industry trends.
• Provide pricing support through continuous market feedback collection & structured competitor analysis to ensure competitive positioning for products in Egypt.
• Attend customer, distributor & industry events and build relationships with relevant Key Opinion Leaders & decision makers.
• Strengthen strategic account relationships by applying account management principles.
• Implement pricing policy & trade terms in line with company guidance, distributor agreements & local market dynamics.
• Plan & forecast customer & distributor demand to anticipate supply requirements, ensure on-time delivery & maintain a positive customer experience.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for the territory, including pipeline, activities, customer profiles & distributor performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with policies & applicable Egyptian regulations & quality requirements related to animal health products, distribution, promotional activities & pharmacovigilance/complaint handling.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned based on business needs.
• Frequent travel required within Egypt & occasional international travel as business needs require.
EDUCATION
• Post-Graduate Degree in nutrition/pharma studies (or equivalent), preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum +15 years of experience in nutrition business, including proven commercial track record within Egypt required.
• Commercial acumen with strong technical orientation (poultry field technical experience preferred) & experience working through distributors & key accounts.
• Ability to self-manage daily activities & priorities, with strong planning, reporting & follow-up discipline.
• Collaborative mindset to connect with regional & global colleagues & to align distributor, technical, marketing, supply chain & regulatory stakeholders.
• Fluent English & Arabic required.
